Episcopal Overwhelms Providence 17-5

Episcopal School of Jacksonville overwhelmed the Providence Stallions in the first round of regional playoffs last night 17-5. The Stallions were no match for the high powered offense of the Eagles led by Senior All American John Grube and Sophomore Quinton Miller (5 goals each) and Seniors Matt Stiefel and Scott Powell (2 goals, 1 assist each). Also joining in on the score fest was Juniors Jake Jangro (1 goal) and R.J. Raymond (2 goals, 3 assists) who won 20 of 24 face offs for the Eagles. Not to be outdone the Eagles defense led by Junior goalie Dominick Johnigean (12 saves) and defenseman Zach Gerry, B.J. Dozier, Mick Upchurch, C.J. Easton, Trey Pappas and Jonathon Killea held Providence to 24 shot attempts to the Eagles 47.
