All Saints Academy Pulls Away for 14-2 Win Over Tampa Bay Tech

  The Titans of Tampa Bay Tech High School travelled to Winter Haven, Florida Thursday night to take on the Saints of All Saints Academy in a district game. The Saints pulled away early for a 14-2 win. The Saints scored five goals in the first quarter as the Moose got loose early in the first quarter to score the first goal of the game. The Saints followed up with four straight goals by Zach Wilson and Hunter Bennett with two each. In the second quarter the Saints scored five more goals, as Tyson “Moose” Gurnsey closed out the half with a crafty goal near the crease. The Saints scored two additional goals in the third Quarter to take a 12-0 lead. The Titans got on the board in the 4th Quarter with a laser shot by Raekwon Norton and a second goal by Joe Jeremiah. The Saints put two more goals on the board to end the game 14-2. The Saints defense was led by Chase Leland, Holden Shirey, Tanner Scarborough, Chase Trinklien, and and Ben Acosta. Saints goalie William Skipper had 15 saves. Zach Wilson led the Saints in assists with six, Hunter Bennett led the Saints in scoring with five goals, and Fisher Williams and Chase Leland led the Saints in groundballs with four each. The Titans of Tampa Bay Tech travel to Newsome on February 23, 2016 for their next game. The Saints next game is on the road at Bloomingdale on February 23, 2016.
