All Saints Comeback to Get Win of St. Stephens Episcopal

All Saints Academy traveled to St Stephens Episcopal, Falcons for a non-district game under the lights on Thursday, February 11, 2016. The Saints prevailed with a 12-10 comeback win powered by the Saints Defense, Hunter Bennett, Zach Wilson and Fisher Williams.
The Falcons started fast jumping out to a 4-2 lead in the first quarter powered by Drew Vigne. The Falcons pushed out to an 8-3 lead at the half. The Falcons stingy first half defense was led by their Captain Tony Matteo.
The Saints mounted a rally in the third quarter powered by their defensive unit led by Chase Leland, Holden Shirey, and Tanner Scarborough as the held the Falcons to one goal in the third quarter. The Saints offense got into gear with Hunter Bennett, Zach Wilson, and Fisher Williams. Hunter scored two goals with assists from Zach. While Zach and Fisher each scored on unassisted goals. Tyson “moose” Gurnsey got into the scoring off a feed from Zach to close out the third 8-9.
The Saints defense continued the remarkable rally holding the Falcons again to one score in the fourth quarter. Saints scored three more goals from Hunter all assisted by Zach. Zach broke free for unassisted goal as the Saints closed out the game with 12-10 win.
Hunter Bennett led all scorers with 6 goals and Zach Wilson led all in assists with 7 assists and 2 goals, Fisher Williams had three goals and led the team in ground balls with 9.
The Falcons next game is against Out of Door Academy on the road, February 15, 2016. The Saints next game is Robinson at home on Saturday, February 13, 2016.
