
All Saints Transition Game Too Much for SMA

Sarasota Military Academy traveled to Winter Haven, Florida to take on All Saints Academy under the lights, Monday night, March 2, 2015. The Saints used a fast break offense and jumped on the Eagles early and did not relinquish lead winning the game 18-1.
The Saints pushed the ball early and often using pin point passing to jump out to an 8-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Saints continued the fast pace to end the half at 14-1.
The Saints employed a more methodical offense in the second half to take a 17-1 lead at the end of the third quarter. The Saints’ defense was led by Sam Mixon, Chase Leland, and Dustin Walling, holding the Eagles to 1 goal.
In the fourth quarter, Saints’ Head Coach Ray Ryan pulled all the starters. The game ended with an 18-1 final.
Hunter Bennett led the Saints in scoring with 9 goals and 1 assist, Zach Wilson and Fisher Williams led the Saints in assists with 3 each and in groundballs with 6 each. Starting goalie William Skipper had 6 saves.
Sarasota Military Academy’s next game is March 5, 2015 at Cardinal Mooney. The Saints next game is a road game against Jefferson on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
