From  www.avemariagyrenes.com AVE MARIA, Fla. — Georgia Miller, an attack player from Winter Park, Fla. has decided to continue her academic and athletic career at Ave Maria University. Miller’s high school, The Geneva School, does not have a girls lacrosse program but that did not stop Miller from playing elite club lacrosse with RC Elite, REV, and Braveheart. “Georgia impressed me from the first time I saw her play. Her eagerness and relentless work ethic both in the classroom and on the field is something you cannot teach. I see Georgia being a big part of our attack next year and in the years to come. I am thrilled that Georgia has decided to become a Gyrene,” states head coach Kelly Buikus. Miller is a member of NHS Mu Alpha Theta Honors Society, Excelsior Awards for History and Christian Thought, a National Merit Commended Scholar, Duke TIPS Member, Junior Marshall (Top three in class) and carries a 4.6 GPA at The Geneva School. “When I toured Ave, I knew it was the perfect fit: the academics, culture, size, and most especially Coach B and the team. I’m so excited to be a Gyrene,” said Miller. Georgia would like to thank her mom and dad for being her biggest fans and for always being encouraging, Coach Eidson for sparking her love for lacrosse and letting her play on the boys team and be a Screaming Yellow Honker. She’d also like to thank alll of her club coaches over the years and Ron Hill for helping to refine her skills.
