Barron Collier’s 2015 middie, Drew Goodrich, is headed to Lexington, VA’s Washington & Lee University.  Goodrich was a Brine All American, Under Armour Uncommitted All American game, 2 time Nike Blue Chip selection, 4 year Varsity, 2 time Naples Daily News All -Area Team, 2 time All Collier County Athletic Conference, and Barron Collier’s top scoring middie as sophomore and junior at Barron Collier. BC Head Coach Trent Carter commented on Drew, “Drew could possibly be the best midfielder in Florida this year. His size and athleticism are two characteristics that can’t be coached. I believe W&L and Drew are a perfect fit both academically and athletically.” Drew said he chose W&L because his top priority was choosing a school with a strong academic reputation and a well-respected lacrosse program.  “I intend on majoring in Business & Finance and I was very attracted to the long list of W&L alumni who hold executive positions in Wall Street firms. Also, I had a few great visits and I really loved the campus with all it’s history, but I was especially attracted to W&L because of my instant connection with Coach McCabe and his focus on winning a national championship. I simply could not find a better combination of top notch lacrosse with top tier academics.” Drew is serious about his academics as evidenced by his 4.65 GPA.  He is also a Two Year National Honor Society member, President and Founder of Barron Collier Business Cub, and a 2 time Student of the Month “I’d like to thank my coaches, Coach Carter and Quillan, for teaching me lessons both in the game of lacrosse and the game of life. My team for being the best group of guys I’ve been privileged enough to surround myself with, and, most importantly, my mother and father for always supporting me along this road, staying positive, and traveling the country with me.”
