
Benjamin Glides Past Spanish River 16 – 8

Spanish River’s young squad traveled north to the Benjamin School campus Tuesday but ran into an inhospitable host and came out on the losing end of a 16-8 score. After scoring the first two goals of the game SR fell behind 4-2 by the end of the first. Benjamin stretched the lead to 9-5 at the half by outscoring SR 5-3 in the second. Benjamin furthered their lead to 13-8 after three and scored the only three goals of the fourth to finish the game with a 16-8 win.
Spanish River goalie Jake Diamond kept the game close as he was credited with an incredible 28 SAVES.

Robert Jacobs led Benjamin with 6G/2A, followed by Tim Corrigan with 2G/4A, Ryan Silvester’s 2G/1A and McKenna Johnston’s 2 goals. Andrew Packer contributed 1G/1A. Sam Ritenour, Charlie Nicklaus and JB Thompson scored a goal each and Jerry O’Connor, Philip Benz and Bobby O’Leary added assists. Anthony Cicio made 5 saves in goal.

Evan Deacon led SR with 3G/2A and Colvin Stanger and Adrian Franzone each posted 2G/1A. Nick Diamond added a goal.
