Bishop Verot Upsets Barron Collier

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
Barron Callier took an early 2-1 lead. But Bishop Vero led 4-2 at by halftime.  With less than a minute left in the game the difference was still two goals at 7-5. Barron scored with 30 seconds left to close the game and had a final opportunity after a BV infraction to tie it up with 7.5 seconds. Barron Collier got off a shot as time expired but Austin Suarez came up with the save. BVHS defense, led by Alex Groeper, Austin Benacquisto, and Scott Becker, was able to keep the BC offense in check all night. This was a great senior night celebration for the Vikings of Bishop Verot.
