Boca Starts With Good Win Against A Tough Jensen Team

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
That’s the latest Clinton, Mike, #10 above, finishing a beautiful lefty goal Tuesday night.  Mike had another pretty rip from the right side. FLN stopped in to catch an early season contest pitting the Boca Raton Bobcats against the visiting Jensen Beach Falcons.  What we witnessed was an extremely high quality game on both sides of the ball.  Play was fast and clean and the passing was accurate and crisp.  Our Florida lacrosse is catching up in a hurry… DSC_4630 The Falcons drew first blood midway through the first quarter, but after that it was mostly Boca, leading 5-2 at the half and finishing with a 11-5 margin.  The Falcons had plenty of shots, but Bobcat goalie Spencer Dobkin (#15) tallied 15 terrific saves.  Seems right.  Dobkin was a good field general and hustled to the endline when trying to grab possession of errant shots. Rutgers commit Nick McCabe was in mid-season form, dodging easily and shooting from whichever side was open.  Nick tallied 5 goals. Four more Bobcats registered points:  Marc Musa 1g, Zach Frey 1g 2a, Brad Gling 2g and Brandon Ruditz 1a.  We did not get the stats from Jensen but will be happy to add them to the article if they are submitted.  FLN depends on many volunteers to supply information to us and if you send us content, including photos, we will get it on our site. Below are a few shots from the night:
