We’ll be up with the Launch’s own game recap tomorrow.
The Launch rode a strong offensive effort in the second half behind balanced scoring, with a 7-goal third period to take the lead into the fourth quarter and shut down the Lizards in that period as Austin Kaut came up with over 20 saves and Wil Gural outdueled Greg Gurenlian at the faceoff circle to key the victory.
Kieran Mcardle gave the Launch his second straight hat trick since rejoining the team and the middie debuts of Nick Mariano and Sergio Salcido resulted in 3 third quarter goals between them to help turn momentum after the Lizards jumped out to a quick 2-goal lead early in the second half.
Next Sunday the Launch return home to face the Lizards in the second of the home and home series and there should be no excuses for the fans not to come out and support the effort. A win on Saturday will give the launch the tiebreaker over both NY and Rochester should it come down to that for playoff qualification.
Dylan Molloy did not play tonight and will likely make his debut, along with Tim Muller. Alec Tullet fit right in on defense and faceoff wing play and all of a sudden the team looks deep in the midfield as they ran two full midfields on offense. Goal scoring was well split and no one was asked to carry the load, a great sign going forward.
Make your plans Saturday . . . just be sure they point at the big stadium in Boca.
