FLN has learned that Casey Powell has resigned from his position as Head Coach and Director of Lacrosse Operations at North Broward Prep and the coaching position will be filled by current Florida Launch player Mario Ventiquattro. When reached for comment Casey issued the following statement: “I’m stepping away from the North Broward Prep lacrosse program this season to concentrate on my business ventures. I’m launching a new lacrosse lifestyle line, developing the Casey Powell World Lacrosse Foundation, director of spring training at Disney Wide World of Sports, partner in lacrosse education leader LB3 Lacrosse company, and playing professionally for the Florida Launch. With all my commitments, I simply don’t have time to dedicate to a high school coaching position. I leave the program in great hands with Kirk and Mario Ventiquattro leading the way.” FLN wishes Casey the best going forward and good luck to Mario and Kirk as they continue the building of the NBP program.  Mario also has roots in the area as a member of the Florida Launch.
