Prep School Lacrosse Showcase Camp Has Beautiful Weekend

“Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together?” That was the line used by John “Hannibal” Smith, played by the late George Peppard on the The A Team television series after the successful completion of an assignment. Some of you youngsters probably caught a little of the show on cable, but most of you probably have not seen even a clip. Well, when you have old geezers writing for FLN, you occasionally have to tolerate references to items from the last century (which is similar to listening to Lee’s ramblings on Hobart) and we sympathize.
In a nutshell, Prep School Lacrosse Showcase’s (PSLS) plan for its camp at St. Andrew’s in Boca Raton was perfectly executed.
Following last weekend’s girls camp, PSLC ran the boys camp with what had to be the best weather the Chamber of Commerce could muster. Families came in from all over the country so aspiring players could learn from and get familiar with coaches from some of the very best colleges in the country. There is little doubt parents, coaches and players hated to go home. Saturday featured a Food Truck and fair-like atmosphere which added to the fun and we decided to tweet out those food truck sites to see if they know what lacrosse is.
Finally, for those of you who are serious about playing in college, you should highly consider applying for the Prep School Lacrosse Showcase’s summer recruiting events. There is no guarantee you will be accepted as you need a recommendation from your coach and the competition. We attended last year, and it was one of the best events we have seen. The coaches arrived early and stayed late. Players received terrific opportunities to be seen.
