The U19 Championship game at the Veteran’s Cup featured the Palm Beach Storm and the Bruins from Bartram Trails. Enjoy some photos from the game and feel free to download.  All photos are courtesy of Brooke Davis. There were quite a few flags, one minor scuffle, a couple of ejections, and lots of EMO play by both teams.  Anthony Cicio provided outstanding goaltending between the pipes for Palm Beach but the Bruins were able to stay in the game. Chase Hancock and Dalton Cook scored late for the Bruins and tied it up.  OT rules in this tournament included a 4 on 4 Braveheart format.  Three middies and a goalie. A fierce battle for the ball on the face off ended with a Bruins posession.  Hancock brought the ball down, went to pipes, faked the dump off pass and shot the game winner past the right hip of Cicio. The close fought overtime championship game put a big exclamation point on a great weekend. In other finals the Ponte Vedre Possums won the U11 Championship with a 7-6 victory over the Snipers.  The Tampa Bay Fire won three divisions.  U13 was Fire 8 the Panthers 6.  U15 was won by the Fire with a 9-8 win over the 386 Devils and the Fire took home the first place trophy in the U17 division with a 7 – 2 win over the Talon. Full list of scores is available at the Veterans Cup Website.
