Canada Upsets US In Gold Medal Game 9-8 – Ferrucci Scores 2

“Ya” Ferrucci led the squad with 2 goals, and she also played very well between the thirties both transitioning the ball offensively and causing a number of turnovers IMG_2467when Canada was attacking.   But, unfortunately, it would not be enough as Team Canada used a strong second half to upset the USA and win their first U19 Women’s Gold Medal. Mick Ferrucci, who had been keeping us posted throughout the tournament said, “The girls played very well, but we lost to Canada 9-8 in the Gold Medal Game.  It was truly a great game, and we had three shots in the last minute but were unable to convert. It was a simply indescribable experience, and Team USA brought home the Silver Medal!” Please read Megan Schneider’s excellent account of the game here – Laxmagazine.com.
