Cardinal Newman goes to 3-0 with a District 21 victory over Suncoast 9-6. The Crusaders were led by Corey Pearson (2g), Ryan Milano (3g, 2a) and Fritz Cushmore (2g, 1A). Suncoast played tough all night, and were tied at the half 3-3. Ben Spivey kept the game the close for Suncoast with 3 goals. With Suncoast ahead 5-4 late in the 3rd, JP McCabe won 3 key face offs that led to Newman scores. A strong performance by goalie Nic Kramer (12 saves) and defensemen Joe Ciminella (10gb’s) and Jake Moschella (5gb’s) kept Newman ahead the remainder of the game.
