Freshman Jack Hawley converted a centering pass from Hayden LaVangie, who led the hosts with five assists, to give Fleming Island a 6-1 first half advantage. The Lions clawed to within three as they brought the score to 8-5 in the second half before the Golden Eagles regained command on a dodge and bounce shot by middie Sam Barrington. Hawley, Barrington and brothers Kirby and Josh Gracia had two goals apiece for Fleming Island, who visits Jacksonville Bolles for a district clash Tuesday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m. Photo caption: Fleming Island LSM Andrew Zima strips the ball from a Tallahassee Leon attack.
