Corrigan Sports – www.corrigansports.com was founded in 1991 as a sports marketing and event management company. The company has grown significantly since then into a major presence in the sports promotion business.
Corrigan’s marquee event is the Baltimore Running Festival which last took place in October and had over 27,000 runners. The event was televised live and generated $ 40 million in economic impact for the City of Baltimore. In the lacrosse world Corrigan Sports owns and operates the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic, the most prestigious High School All-Star lacrosse event. Over 4,000 athletes try out for the underclass teams (20 total teams – 10 boys, 10 girls). The Under Armour Senior Games showcase the very best players going on to all the top schools in the Fall. The Boy’s game is carried live each year on ESPNU. The underclass games and tryouts have become the highlight of the recruiting circuit.
On the Girl’s side Corrigan puts on the IWLCA tournament series (Champions Cup, Capital Cup, Western Cup, and Presidents Cup). Those tournaments are sanctioned by the IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse College Association), so many college coaches from all 3 divisions – D1, D2, D3 come to them. The events average 300+ college coaches at each. The Champions and Capital Cups draw 250+ teams. The Presidents Cup will be played this year over the weekend of November 22nd – 24th at Disney Wide World of Sports and will have 200 teams. Visit Corrigansports.com for further details.
