On February 24, 2015, the Creekside Knights started off with rapid fire shots on the goal and the fourth shot landed the Knights its first point within two minutes of the game on St. Augustine’s home field.  With the Knights up 4-1 after the first quarter, St. Augustine answered back scoring twice in the second quarter.  There was full court press by both teams with a lot of end to end.  The Knights returned the favor with two goals of their own making it 6-3 at the half. Tiernan Hart anchored the defense picking up 8 ground balls along with Evan Kamm who was well positioned throughout the first half to force turnovers. St. Augustine changed up their strategy during half-time and came out swinging making shots from much further out from the crease.  The entire third quarter was back and forth ending with a score of 8-6 in favor of the Knights.  In the fourth quarter, the Knights put up five quick goals making it a 13-6 lead, but could not to get comfortable as St. Augustine fired off four more goals just before the game-ending horn.  The Knights walked away with a 13-10 victory and its success is due to an entire team effort by defense as well as its fully stocked offense.  Catch more action by the Creekside Knights when they play team conference rival Bartram Trail on Saturday at 1pm at Creekside’s stadium.
