On day two of lacrosse at Creekside High School that included Friday/Saturday games between Bolles, Creekside, Leon and Maclay, sophomore Anthony “Tex” Teixeira had a career day recording 5 goals and 4 assists in a 16-3 victory for Creekside over Leon. Kyle Tumbarello played goalie for Creekside in this contest. Multiple goals were also scored by Robert Foster (2), Kevin McKernan (Florida Tech) (2). These Knights each had one goal: Ryan Jennis (Florida Tech), Gian Noto (Manhattan), Nick Eccher (Holy Cross), Alex Sinardi, Nate Wheeler, Zach Golden, Matt Tidball. Eccher led with six assists, while Jennis, Noto, Golden, Sinardi and Julian Bonilla each had one. In the game that followed, Maclay held on to beat Bolles 10-9 in a fantastic afternoon matchup in North Florida. Creekside and Bolles will face each other Tuesday at the Bolles School in Jacksonville.
