On February 10th, Creekside boys lacrosse started their 2015 season with a bang hosting the Episcopal Eagles at the Knight’s stadium.  Both Junior Varsity and Varsity teams walked away with a win and a great start to their lacrosse season. Coach Jason Alford praised his teams’ steadfast dedication stating that “the boys have been working real hard on their conditioning and lacrosse skills and I’m confident that the dedication these young men have put in will pay off.”  Coach Alford added that, “Creekside’s lacrosse program has grown as a direct result of the communities lacrosse programs expansion.  This year we’ve seen a lot of new players added to our program and I’m real excited about the talent on our roster.” Nick Bowser started off the season with the first goal for the J.V. team.  The game remained offensively strong staying on the Knight’s end of the field most of the first quarter.  The game ended with a 15-1 score in favor of the Knights with a bulk of the assists going to Jake Crici.  The Varsity game began in the same manner with Ben Weigel scoring for the Knights via an assist by Tim Vanderlinde.  The Knights led the Eagles 7-0 at the half with the final score 12-7 for the Knights. The next Creekside matchup is against Nease on Friday, February 13 at 5:30 for the Junior Varsity and 7:30 for the Varsity at the Knights stadium.  If you cannot make it to the game, tune into 92.5 FM via the website (1010xl.com) for a play by play of the Varsity game.
