Both teams played sound lacrosse in a game that included only 6 penalties in total. Creekside led 1-0 after the first quarter, and 3-1 at halftime. Six goals were exchanged in the third quarter, including one by #27 Alec Q. from Lake Mary with 13 seconds left in the period to cut Creekside’s lead to 6-4. Lake Mary scored the next three goals to start the 4th quarter (two by #18 James Duhon to complete his Hat Trick and another by Alec Q.) taking a 7-6 lead with 6:14 left in regulation. After several scoring opportunities by both teams that were thwarted by good goalie play (Creekside’s #7 Matt Jorgensen with 11 saves in the game including an incredible one in the overtime period), #25 Ryan Jennis tied the game with 3:35 to go to send the contest into OT.
