Brian Theiss was going to be returning for the season.  The LHP victory by a margin of 8 goals was not unexpected.  Look for Brantley to have a whole new plan as they have made solid adjustments since then.  Both teams are solid at the d-pole position which could mean this game hinges on whose midfield is the most productive tonight.  I’ve said all season that LHP has the best defensive midfield in the state.  Lake Brantley moved Jared Bernhardt to the midfield for the Hagerty game and it started working in the second half.  Will that be the answer tonight? If Don Eidson (Delaware) is healthy look for some great battles between he and Bernhardt.  Lake Brantley attack, Ryan Crowley and LHP defender, Griff Caligiuri should provide an awesome show as well.  With Joey Dobrowolski and Adam Sawicki (Lehigh) in the goals tonight I would bet we see at least one shot on goal by a goalie.  These guys have

both been know to get downfield with the ball! That should be fun to see. Dr. Phillips vs Plant High School – Dr. Phillips is one of the cool stories of this play off so far.  We saw this team play in the preseason and I’ve got to be honest, we would not have picked them to win their district.  This young team has come a long way in a short amount of time.  Their leading scorer, Ian Decker, has been on fire and LSM Edwin Wiley is an animal with 58 caused turnovers this year.  Plant High is the last of the new additions to the FHSAA from Hillsborough County still in the game.  It’s not hard to understand why when you look at the level of NCAA commits on their roster.  Julian Taylor (Roanoke) , Bennett Taylor (Army),  and Grant Preston (Washington and Lee.) This will be a great high school lacrosse game and the first meeting between these two teams. Follow us on Twitter tonight @FloridaLX to keep up to date with real time updates!
