The ELEV|8 Sports Institute’s Snipers Lacrosse Program will now be offered at a 2nd Location

Delray Beach, Fla. (March 14, 2013) – ELEV|8 Sports Institute, an elite athletic developmental center based in Delray Beach, Fla., announced today the expansion of  their world-class youth lacrosse training program, Snipers Lacrosse.  The multi-sport training center has already been offering training excellence in South Florida, and is now expanding into one of the fastest growing areas of Florida youth lacrosse, the Treasure Coast. The Treasure Coast Snipers will compete in 3 lacrosse tournaments this summer under the guidance of Elev|8 Executive Director of Lacrosse and Snipers founder Tony Lowe and Kent Smith, founder of Treasure Coast Lacrosse and owner Stickhead Lacrosse Vero Beach. Coach Smith has played and coached lacrosse for most of his life. He is the former head coach for St. Edward’s School, Gifford Middle School and founder and Director of Treasure Coast Lacrosse. He is a 2-time Florida High School All-American and member of the Hobart College National Championship Team. In 2011 he was inducted into the Florida Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Coach Smith still plays lacrosse with the Palm Beach Lacrosse Club and the FROGs. The Treasure Coast Snipers will be the second Snipers Lacrosse Club franchise joining the flagship Snipers program based out of Delray Beach. The program will be offered for all levels of players from the novice player just getting exposed to the game to the advanced player looking to gain an edge in performance. “We are excited to work with the lacrosse players of Treasure Coast and have them join the Snipers Lacrosse program.  We plan to create an environment that allows the game and the young athletes that love it to grow by offering world-class skills training and performance training by our talented coaching staff,” said Tony Lowe.  “Our program under the direction of myself, Jeff Goldberg and now Kent Smith will help lacrosse players develop their talent for years to come.” In becoming part of the ELEV|8 Sports Institute the Treasure Coast athletes will now additionally have the academy 9-month residential training program and performance training at the ELEV|8 Sports Institute. “This is a huge opportunity to help grow the game of lacrosse and allow players an unprecedented opportunity to enroll in a premier lacrosse program with a shared focus on athletic development and family values,” said Kent Smith, Treasure Coast Snipers Director.  “The Snipers proven system of player development and collegiate exposure will open doors for our players that they would not have found in any other program. I couldn’t be more excited for our first summer.” The Treasure Coast Snipers will host tryouts this weekend and next at Pointe West Event Fields in Vero Beach, Fl from 10am-1pm.
