Lake Mary 16 Dr. Phillips 6
The Lake Mary Rams are looking to get back to the final four
Lake Mary is the defending champion of the FHSAA’s North Bracket and is going to be a factor in that race again this year.  The Rams are loaded with talent despite the loss of Alex Forehand who scored seven goals in the Ram’s upset playoff win over Ponte Vedra last year.  A knee injury sidelined the senior for the season.
LM vs Seminole 2
Seminole lost a lot of scoring in Heath Rivers and Alex Proly last year. Look for for Peyton Rivers and Bennet Osterink to step up this season.
Junior Charlie Ragault had a very good sophomore year on Lake Mary’s attack.  But he has the talent to step up and be the man this year and we think he’ll do just that.  Walker Mayes and Tyler Castillo are a pair of senior middies who can control the game.  Junior Nick Platt and senior Miguel Thompson are a solid pair on the defensive end. Senior LSM Ben Carbone (Jacksonville) has been getting it done both on defense and in transition for a long time at Lake Mary, watch for him to have a huge season. While Head Coach Garrick Robinson plans to see his team back to the final four this year, he knows it’s a long road.  His goal for his team? “Play our brand of lacrosse on a consistent basis which will allow all other goals to be possible.” Seminole High School could be a little thin this season but they have a couple of attackman that are as good as any out there.  Peyton Rivers is an excellent distributor and is able to get the most of the guys around him.  One of those guys is 6’5″ 215 pound Bennett Osterink.  Osterink can finish and he can catch the ball in traffic.   He is a very difficult match up.  Ben Roth in the goal is a great athlete.  The junior made the Jake Reid 205 camp last summer.  Look for Chris Armstrong on defense.  A sophomore with great checks, stick work and a smart player. On the midfield we’re keep an eye on Seaver Bransfield (North Greenville.) He is a solid two way middie and has been named a captain this year. Lake Brantley may not be as dominant as they once were but when you have a talent like Jared Bernhardt (Maryland) on the attack just about anything seems possible.  Bernhardt is one of those rare talents that is dangerous every time he touches the ball.  When he’s on the offense with the super fast Austin Guerrina (LIU Post) they will give any team they play absolute fits.  Jake Bernhardt, one of the most accomplished young men in the history of Florida lacrosse is at the helm of the Lake Brantley Patriots.  Lake Brantley will give just about everyone on the schedule all they can handle this season. Winter Springs, Lyman, and Orangewood Christian round out this district. Back to main preview page
