Thanks to Michael Zeff of the Launch for submitting the photos!   Last Saturday the Florida Launch held a clinic for 50 youth players at the South County Regional Park in Boca Raton, hosted by Coach Stan Ross, Assistant Coach Matt Sofarelli and star attackman Keiran McArdle among others.  Players came from a number of programs and some traveled from as far away as St. Petersburg and Viera. The players were segmented according to their positions for targeted instruction and also brought together for coordinated drills.  Attendees were also given a Launch game ticket too! Although the weather was a little on the warm side for this time of year the kids never stopped working and they came away better players for the experience. South County Regional has had a long history of hosting lacrosse (my own son Alex spent a year with Boca Jets ten years ago playing at the facility) and is an excellent facility for this type of event. The great impact of a clinic like this is the memories that you take away as a kid, above and beyond the instruction.  If you are a 10-year old kid who gets to spend some time with a player like Kieran McArdle that is something you don’t forget for a long time, if ever. The Launch are planning to do another clinic in the future so the area kids who missed out on this one might want to pay attention!
