The Davie JCC will be once again sending Boys and Girls Lacrosse teams to the Summer Maccabi Games. This year the Maccabi Lacrosse Tournaments will be held in Cherry Hill New Jersey from August 10-15. The Girls Tryouts will be held on Sunday, February 2, from 11 am until Noon at the Davie JCC Girls who wish to compete need to be 16 or under with the cut-off date as August 10. The Boys Tryouts will be held on Sunday, February 2, from Noon until 2 pm. For 2014 the Boys Lacrosse Program will feature two teams: – The Legends Team comprised of Rising Juniors and Sophomores who are 16 and under and – The Rising Stars Team (NEW) comprised of Rising 8th Graders, Freshman, and Sophomores Both Teams will compete for Gold Medals. In 2012 our Legends Team were Silver Medalists – beating LI in Pool Play only to lose to LI in the finals. In 2013 our Legends Team were Bronze Medalists – beating LI and Newport Beach but losing to Baltimore. The format for both boys and girls is 7 vs. 7.
