We watched Hayden La Vangie play at the Moe’s Southwest Grill Lacrosse Classic in Jacksonville back in February.  We were impressed with his quick release and ability to find and create space.  He led Fleming Island to a solid 9-6 season and has helped that team to seriously close the gap on district rival, Bolles. FLN – How Would You Describe Your Game? HL – I think my game is best described as fast-paced and aggressive. FLN – What Was Your First Lacrosse Experience? HL – I was eight years old when I attended a clinic held by a local club team in Virginia; this is where I first picked up a stick. FLN – Who Was Your Biggest Lacrosse Influence? HL – My biggest lacrosse influence is one of my coaches, John Hawley, who played attack at the Naval Academy and graduated in 1988. FLN – Which College/Pro Players Do You Like Watching The Most? HL – The three players I enjoy watching the most are the Thompsons from Albany. Their skills and field vision are unbelievable. FLN – What Is Your Lacrosse Goal for the 2015 season? HL – My 2015 goal is to beat our rival Bolles in the districts and then win the district championship. FLN – What would you like your teammates to say about you? HL – I would like my teammates to say that I was never selfish and always there for them with whatever they needed. Favorite Meal: Spaghetti with a side of garlic bread. HL – I mainly have any kind of classic rock and roll from the 50’s up to modern day rock; but I also enjoy any type of song no matter the genre that is upbeat and exciting. FLN – What celebrity would you most like to meet? HL – I would love to meet Marcus Luttrell and hear his stories and opinions. FLN – What Hobby Or Interest Do You Have That Would Surprise People Who Know You? HL – I enjoy collecting all kind of knives.
