
Girls: SJP II Edges Saint Andrew’s 14-13 in Major District Matchup

Girls Lacrosse: Saint john Paul II versus St. Andrews, in a hard fought district game last night. Saint john Paul II came into this game with a record of 5-1. Starting the game off strong with a five point lead at one point, while the Scott’s played catch-up, eventually tying the game up with 2:30 on the clock in the second half. Taylor Mullen (Middie, Junior) and Kylie MacDonald – scoring 5 goals each for the Scots.
Madison Kennedy, (Middie, sophomore), Liv Pollemini (Attack, Junior) and Katie Trainor (Middie, Sophmore) all worked extra hard on the field last night, scoring 4 goals each, to help SJPII secure this district win. Trainor scored at 1:30 left, which was the tie breaker, while Kennedy and Polemini rang their 4 goals in prior. Kennedy on the draws with Trainor and Kylie Ring showing great draw control throughout the game and possession was the winning curve in last nights win.
The Final score was 14-13 after a hard fought battle on the field, with SJPII holding the Scots off from a district win last night. Saint John Paul will visit Pine Crest on Tuesday at 6pm with hopes of another victory for the Eagles.
