GOLD COAST SHOOTOUT ADDS SUMMER TOURNAMENT
The Gold Coast Shootout has added a summer version of its very popular fall tournament.   The inaugural event will take place June 14-15 at Brian Piccolo Park in Cooper City, FL (west Fort Lauderdale).    Seven main divisions will be fielded for Boys U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and HS Elite along with Girls Middle School and Girls High School.   The format will be similar to the fall Gold Coast Shootout which just held its biggest ever event last October.  Divisions will be split into A/B should there be enough teams to do so in an age group.   Champions will be crowned in all divisions.  For this event, the champion team in division will receive an MVP stick to award to their team designated Most Valuable Player.
“We have had extremely positive feedback from parents, players and program organizers about our fall Gold Coast and our new Treasure Coast Shootout (Vero Beach),”  said Pete Dunne, President of Broward Lacrosse Advantage, the company that runs the events.   “We had lots of requests for a summer version so teams did not have to travel so far to play in the summer.”  He added, “we hope to see this grow into a major tournament for the summer season.  We will still hold our fall events.”
Tournament entry fees are $950 per team or $850 per team for programs bring 3 or more teams.   More information and registration can be found at www.goldcoastshootout.com.
