via Florida Launch web site   Since being drafted fifth overall by the Florida Launch in 2014, Kieran McArdle has been lighting up Major League Lacrosse with his elite scoring ability. The two-time MLL All-Star is in the middle of another standout season but there’s more to #6 than his on field play. This week we give you a glimpse into the attackman’s life in and outside of lacrosse. Where did you attend college? St. John’s University. Why did you pick St. John’s? I felt it was a good fit for me both in athletics and academically. How did you get your start in lacrosse? My dad played in high school so ever since I was born I had a stick in my hand. What players did you watch growing up that you most wanted to play like? The Powell brothers. What is your favorite memory of playing in a game? The Big East tournament my sophomore year when we beat Notre Dame. What is one thing you want to accomplish in the sport that you haven’t done yet? Win an MLL Championship and make Team USA. What’s your favorite pre-game meal? Salad and pasta. Favorite sports team outside of lacrosse? The New York Knicks. What is one thing you just can’t live without? Family and friends. When you’re not playing lacrosse, what’s your ‘day job?’ Working to get my masters. What’s your favorite movie? Sandlot. What is your favorite pizza topping? Buffalo chicken. What’s one thing you have crossed off your bucket? Taking a ride in a helicopter. What’s one thing you would tell someone that just picked up lacrosse and asks you for advice?
