It’s Mandarin over Matanzas In A Close Game 10-9

This was a close game throughout, with neither team leading by more than 2 goals. For most of the first half, Mandarin and Matanzas were going back and forth scoring goals until Matanzas got a small lead before the half. At the start of the 4th quarter, Matanzas held the lead at 9-7. With 5 minutes remaining in the game, Adrian Silvia scored to  tie the game at 9. With under 4 minutes left to play, Blake Weil scored what would become the game winning goal for the Mustangs. The Mustangs almost gave the game away with penalties, playing the last 3 minutes of the game man-down. The Mustangs played strong man-down defense, led by Aiden Lavelle, to keep Matanzas from capitalizing on the opportunities. Mandarin Senior Captain, Dalton Groff, led the team in scoring with four goals. Other scorers included Johnny Dister, 1 goal, Attack, Sophomore, Adrian Silvia, 3 goals, Middie, Captain, Senior, Blake Weil, 1 goal, Middie, Junior, Ryan Cockriel, 1 goal, Middie, Senior.
