Jared Chaloux’s Game Winner With 4.7 Seconds on the Clock Is the Mastro Subaru Play of the Week

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
Wow,  we had more great submissions this week than ever before.  We have some video that provides the definitions of  “whistle ready,” shooting, “high to low,” and “look inside.”  But it’s tough to beat a game winner with short time on the clock! Mastro Banner First, let’s see a couple of Gulliver Prep players who were “whistle ready” on a dangerous restart and caught an excellent team flatfooted.  When your coach tells you to “win the whistle” this is what he or she is talking about right here.  Great play!  Here is Lee’s description of the play – “Then after a faceoff violation on the next draw, Hassan, utilizing a long pole, took the restart pass from Walker Gautier about 25 yards out and his lengthy shot beat Adler on the low right side for ‘Mastro Subaru goal of the week’ candidacy (if the film exists would someone please send it in to us) and we went to the half with STA holding the 7-3 lead.”  You can see that article here. Next up we have a kid who’s name has been on our pages a bunch of times during his career, Lake Mary’s LSM Ben Carbone.  Ben can do more than just play good defense.  He’s a ground ball machine, can push transition, and apparently has excellent shooting fundamentals.  Here he is shooting overhand just like your coach begs you to do.  You can’t let senior night go by without letting it go! Every time you touch the rock on the offensive end you look inside, right? I’ll bet your coach tells you to anyway.  Why? Because Mark Heatzig may be sitting in there ready with some nasty BTB.  Here is a great look by Davis Diamond that led to the fifth first quarter goal for Saint Andrews over LHP.  You can read all about this game right here. Before we get to our Mastro Subaru Play of the Week winner here is a little bonus ankle breaker we got.  Here is Nease’s  2018 middie,  Hunter Kobin, hitting the alley hard and finishing well. And now, the Mastro Subaru Play of the Week.  Everybody loves a game winner and doing it with just 4.7 seconds is clutch! Great footage as well. Here is Jared Chaloux getting it done for his team against West Boca.  Congrats Jared, you made the Mastro Subaru Play of the Week!   Make a great  play this week and then send it in to us at http://fln.mattplu.com/mastro-subaru-play-of-the-week/
