Jeff Goldberg Named Head Coach at American Heritage – Delray

Highly successful head coach Jeff Goldberg was named to head the lacrosse program at American Heritage in Delray Beach this afternoon. Coach Goldberg will hold a dual role at the school, coaching the men’s varsity team as well as overseeing the entire program as Director of Lacrosse. One aspect that Coach Goldberg will look into as Director would be the establishment of a women’s program since American Heritage does not currently have a program.
Coach Goldberg served the past two seasons as assistant coach at Spanish River and St. Thomas Aquinas after leaving Saint Andrew’s in 2010.
While at St. Andrew’s, Coach Goldberg won 14 state championships as well as running camps and individual instruction. Jeff will also continue to assist in coaching Team Israel as they develop their program.
With this hiring American Heritage throws its hat into a very competitive local high school lacrosse environment and it will be interesting to see how the program evolves in the area. Local lacrosse fans are looking forward to the near future as the heat just got a little hotter in the local lacrosse kitchen . . .
