
Jesuit Beats Plant 18-8

Rivals Tampa Jesuit (2-1) and undefeated H.B. Plant (2-0) matched up Thursday night for the
first time since Plant upset Jesuit in the District 15 final last year. Home team Tampa Jesuit was looking for revenge and the Tiger offense led by 3 seniors : Hunter Revord (2g, 5a), Stephano Mastro (5g), and Jackson Parisey (2g, 3a) came ready for the challenge. In what started out as a tight first quarter tied 4-4. The 2nd quarter Jesuit’s defense clamped down allowing no goals. The offense added 4 goals to open the game up to a 8-4 half time lead. The second half Tampa Jesuit defense stayed tight allowing only one goal in the 3rd quarter while the offense poured in another 6 goals, taking a 14-5 lead into the 4th quarter. Plant offense came alive scoring 3 goals near the end of the 4th quarter led by senior Mason Beedy (3g) but it was not enough to close the gap while Tampa Jesuits offense scored another 4 goals to end the game 18-8. Tampa Jesuit (3-1) face undefeated Steinbrenner High School (2-0) at home on Saturday which should be a very competitive game while H.B. Plant (2-1) will play Robinson High School (2-1) on the road Friday night.
