via press release – photo via JU web site   JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two more wins separate Jacksonville University women’s lacrosse from an ASUN Conference Championship title. The Dolphins enter the postseason with the momentum of its fifth consecutive regular season title, a stingy defense and a firing attack, and will play all of its remaining games in the friendly confines of D.B. Milne Field where they haven’t dropped a conference matchup this year. Jacksonville plays host to the 2017 ASUN Tournament as the No. 2 seed, and will play the winner of No. 3 Furman/No. 6 Stetson Friday at 4 p.m. To view the full bracket, click here. • The Dolphins (12-5, 9-1) bagged their fifth consecutive ASUN regular season title this past Friday with a 19-5 victory over Stetson; they share the title with Coastal Carolina as both finished the 2017 campaign with a 9-1 mark in conference action
• Jacksonville was crowned the tournament winner in 2013, 2014 and 2015, earning the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tourney each season
• Junior midfielder Ashtyn Hiron notched her 100th career point in the regular season finale, with a goal in the first half; she joins upperclassmen Rachel Aus and Courtney Valdez who have also cracked 100 career points this year
• Danielle Della Rocca, the ASUN’s all-time leader in goals and points, became the program’s all-time point leader (243) at Howard earlier this season; she’s three goals away from recording the most in JU history, and eight assists shy of setting the all-time career mark in the category
