via press release   BOCA RATON, Fla. (May 12, 2015) – Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announced Florida Launch’s (Launch) attackman Kieran McArdle as the Warrior Offensive Player of the Week for Week 5. McArdle helped lead the Launch to a 15-12 victory over the Ohio Machine on Saturday night at FAU Stadium. “It’s an honor to be named Warrior Player of the Week,” said McArdle. “It was a huge team win for us and I couldn’t have had the game I had without my teammates. We played a complete game and came together to work well as a unit. I’m looking forward to getting back out on the field with the team and build on what we’ve started.” The 2014 MLL Rookie of the Year McArdle tallied a season-high five goals plus two assists for a season-high seven points in his fourth game of the season.  McArdle currently sits tied for first with New York’s Paul Rabil in goals with 13, as well as first in points per game with five. McArdle ranks fourth in the league for total points with 20. “Kieran has had an impressive season so far and keeps getting better and better with each game,” said Launch Head Coach Stan Ross. “He had a great match up this weekend and he took full advantage of it.” McArdle ended his 2014 rookie season playing in 12 games in the Launch’s inaugural season tallying 34 goals and 15 assists for a total of 49 points. He now holds two MLL records – most goals scored in a season by a rookie (34) and most points scored in a season by a rookie (49). In 2014 McArdle won Cascade Rookie of the Week twice but this is the first Offensive Player of the Week nod. The Launch continues its home stand on Saturday, May 16, when the defending MLL champions Denver Outlaws come to FAU Stadium for a 7 PM contest.
