Maryland (12-4) earned a spot in the final four for the first time since 2006 and will face Duke in a national semifinal next Saturday at Gillette Stadium. Denver and Virginia will meet in the other semifinal. Former Lake Brantley standout Jake Bernhardt, a junior midfielder, gave the Terrapins their first lead against the Orange with a goal early in the third quarter. Bernhardt’s brother, Jesse, also played for Maryland in the victory. Jesse also went to Lake Brantley.
