An defeated Seminole team hosted Lake Highland Prep (1-1) on a very wet raining chilly night in Sanford. Wet and slippery conditions were obvious but it did not slow down the pace of play for both teams. Three goals in a row from Kyle Richbourg in the second quarter extended the LHP lead to 7-3 at half. Seminole put on an offensive streak in the third quarter to close the gap to 9-7 LHP going into the last quarter. Both Seminole goalie Ben Roth and Lake Highland goalie Austin Farwell had 8 saves each.LHP shutout Seminole in the fourth quarter and won 11-7. Seminole plays Lake Brantley on Friday and Lake Highland has their home opener on Saturday with Benjamin.
