Carter Gile stuck the game winter in overtime on a feed from Josh Marmetschke to clinch a back and forth victory for the Rams on the road in Tampa. The Rams had to survive a furious comeback by the Tigers amidst seven penalties and six minutes of man down play in the fourth quarter. The game was tied at 12 all going into the final minute when at 1:08 to play in regulation Lake Mary’s Cole Lindquist gave the Rams the lead on a great individual effort beating a double team to get the shot off. But Jesuit roared back with a goal by Stephano Mastro at .49 seconds to tie the game at 13. Jesuit was led by the stellar performance of Noah Menendez who aside from controlling face offs for the entire game also put in four goals for the Tigers, including three during the comeback from a 10-6 deficit. The Rams scoring was spread among seven players; Gile, Lindquist, Marmetschke, Quentin Thompson and sophomores James Duhon, Kevin Sande, and Kurt Sisco all contributed points to the effort. Jesuit started the game with three goal run but the Rams gained their footing to fight back for a 6-5 halftime lead. The Rams dominated the third quarter which set the stage for the Jesuit comeback in the fourth. Lake Mary meets state power Jupiter this Friday in Orlando.
