Last Night in Florida – Wow!

As we get down to the end of the regular season in a few weeks things are starting to sort themselves out. It was a STACKED night across the state . . . too bad I can’t declare a 2 for 1 split of myself so I could be at two game at once. Saint Andrew’s played a very good game against national power Boys’ Latin, just like Oxbridge did on Saturday.  Congrats to both of them for representing the state so well! Old podcast partner Wells Dusenbury attended the SA game last night for the Sun-Sentinel and we will link to his article for that coverage. I attended the game between STA and Barron Collier, in that rare late season matchup of two undefeated teams and I will be writing that one up later today. Stoneman Douglas continued their surge with a complete domination of #19 Cardinal Gibbons on the road. Pine Crest did the same with their easy home win over SJP II. Up north the Gators completely dominated the Syracuse Orange in a game that was streamed live and linked to from here.  The Gators look to have their best team ever and are a real threat for winning the Women’s D1 championship!  If that occurs, they would join last year’s Florida Southern women in showing that this state is rapidly joining the ranks of states where great lacrosse resides!  If you like the Women’s game do yourself a favor and get out to one of their games, it’s a GREAT facility to watch a game. Tampa and Saint Leo with solid performances. Bishop Moore continues to impress with a shutout Very quietly, North Broward Prep is closing in on a possible winning season for the first time in a long time Jupiter rebounds from the Nease upset with a dominating performance over a good Boca Raton team   Another great day and night. Fans . . . get out to the games!
