thanks to Megan Danner of the Launch for this preview   Game-12-Notes   What: Game #12 Who: Florida Launch (3-8) at Charlotte Hounds (3-8) When: Saturday, July 11 at 3:30 pm Where: American Memorial Stadium How: TV: www.espn3.com (Live)   Game #12 Preview The Florida Launch concludes its regular season series with the Charlotte Hounds on July 11 in Charlotte at 7:30 pm. This is the second-consecutive week that the Launch and Hounds are playing each other as the two sides played at FAU Stadium last week.   Launch vs. Hounds Series Three games into the Launch vs. Hounds series the Launch currently hold a 2-1 advantage over the Hounds, with neither side losing at home. The Hounds were the victims of the Launch’s first ever win, as the home side never trailed in the 11-8 victory back in 2014. In the second leg of the 2014 series, a six-goal third quarter by the Hounds was too much for the Launch to overcome, resulting in a 14-13 loss on the road. In the 2015 series, the Launch routed the Hounds 19-9 with Lyle Thompson scoring a Launch-record seven goals in the win, helping the team score the most goals in a game this season.   Game #11 Recap The Florida Launch concluded its three-game home stand with a masterful 19-9 rout; showing the potential the Launch has for the future. The home side only trailed for two minutes as the Hounds scored first followed by four goals from the Launch. Charlotte was able to make it a one-goal game at 5-4 with 6:50 left in the opening half, but the Launch entered the intermission with three-straight goals to be up 8-4. The Launch continued to extend its lead in the second half, going up by as many as 11 with Lyle Thompson scoring four goals in the second half. Along with Thompson’s Launch-record seven goals with an assist for a career-high eight points, Kieran McArdle and Steven Brooks also logged hat tricks while Casey Powell and Connor Buczek provided four points. Making his first Launch start, Austin Kaut earned the victory saving 67 percent of the shots on goal while only surrendering nine goals, the first time the Launch have held an opponent to single digits this season.   Coach’s Corner

Big Win vs. Changes: “After watching the film there are a few things we need to clean up at both ends of the field but one thing that needs to remain the same is our intensity and excitement to play. We found our chemistry and need to stick with what we’ve built so far.” Player of the Game: “I thought Lyle played a complete game which allowed him to score seven goals in a lot of different ways. He now understands the MLL game and I hope it will continue for the rest of the year. He has a bright future if he keeps up what he started on Friday.” Defensive Step Up: “We played solid team defense and the players paid attention to what each other were doing. But I also felt that Austin Kaut played great and making 18 saves was incredible for his first start for us.” Rookie Rookie Rookie: “The rookies are playing great, they are starting to figure this league out and I think they’re going to be very good for years to come. We are very impressed with what they’ve brought to the table so far.”   Launch Together Putting It All Together: In last week’s victory over Charlotte, the Launch showed its offensive capabilities, while also showing its defensive presence with the 19-9 win.
