Lacrosse Coach Arrested for Playing National Anthem on July 4th

Some police officers, clearly oblivious to all the bad press they have been getting as of late, decided it would be a good idea to arrest Lane Pittman for playing “The Star-Spangled Banner” on his guitar on the 4th of July. Wow. Surely even in Neptune Beach there had to be some more heinous activity going on that needed police attention.
For the record, I thought he did an awesome job. You can check it out right here.
You can hear all the July 4th revelers singing along with him and it doesn’t sound at all like their peace is being breached!
“Pittman has no criminal record. He plays in his church’s band, is a high school lacrosse coach and is well-known in the beaches community. Pittman said he is hoping to be the next Jaxson de Ville,” according to News4Jax.
News4Jax has more details on the case of police over reach. But if anyone out there knows Lane Pittman tell him to give us a call! We want him playing at our 5th annual State Wide All Star game at the end of the 2016 season!! And if you’re a cop in Neptune Beach, try to relax a little bit.
