The Leon Men’s Lacrosse team opened their season last night with a district win over Chiles, 9 – 2. Outstanding play came from Daniel Hoch and a defense that held Chiles to just two goals. With the defense intact the offense stepped it up and put away Chiles with 9 goals. Goals came from: Matt Henderson (3 goals), Nathan Granger (2 goals), Cale Cummings (2 goals), Grant Wallenfelsz (1 goal), and Phillip Mendez (1 goal). Assists came from: Grant Wallenfelsz (3 assists), Nathan Granger (1 assist), and Matt Henderson (1 assist). Leon travels to Maclay to play Nease on Friday and Creekside on Saturday. They will be home again next Tuesday to host Maclay High School.  The Lions are looking for a good crowd to come out and support an exciting team.
