Macaly Runs Over Leon

Coming off a disappointing last minute loss at home to Bartram Trail on Saturday, Maclay was seeking redemption on their home turf against Leon.
During the first 3-minutes, Maclay responded with 3 goals, but Leon’s Bennett Bradford responded each time, turning the corner on dodges from X with a nifty finishes.
Coming out of a timeout, the Maclay Marauder defense slowed down and began to hold their own. Another transition goal sparked a furious run by Maclay, scoring 15 unanswered goals. Maclay was led by Stephen Chase, continuing his great sophomore season with 7 goals and 3 assists from a variety of spots. Luke Langford responded well with 3 goals and 4 assists of his own, a personal best. Seniors Tucker Schwarz (Merrimack) contributed 3 goals and 3 assists, while Tripp Transou (Duke) added 2 goals, 2 assists, and finished 9 of 12 on faceoffs. Junior Jack Berg contributed 2 goals and 2 assists with 2 ground balls, while senior Carter Torgerson completed a hat trick with 3 goals.
Maclay assisted on 18 of 25 goals, following assisting 8 of 10 goals versus Bartram.
Maclay moves on to take on another top ten program, Ponte Vedra, on Friday night, followed by a Saturday matchup at Nease.
