
Mandarin Runs Past Sandalwood 19-3

A fun night of lacrosse brought the teams of Mandarin and Sandalwood together on Wed February 25th.
Mandarin struck early with a solid shot on goal by junior attack Robert Carney with in the first minute of the game. Mandarin would go on to put 6 more goals on the board in the first quarter.
Sandalwood put a stronger defensive effort on the field during the middle of the game, holding Mandarin to only 2 goals in each of the 2rd and 3rd quarters while putting 3 points on the board themselves.
However, the floodgates opened and Mandarin saw eight different players score in the 4th quarter while the Mustang defense shut Sandalwood’s offense down completely. Mandarin showed depth on the roster with 11 different players making a difference with goals in the game.
Mandarin walked away with another win, taking their record to 5-1 and look forward to playing Leon County at home on Friday February 27th. Sandalwood goes on to face off against Lee that same night.
