What camps, clinics, or tournaments are on your schedule for the rest of the off-season?
A.S. – Crab City, June 27/28, MD , Under Armour All-American Underclassmen Showcase, Towson Univ., July 2-4th
What was your first lacrosse experience? And how long have you been playing? My friends started playing and told me how much fun it was so my mom bought some used gear and dropped me off at Indian River Aces Lacrosse Club camp in 5th grade and I was the worst player there! I really enjoyed Playing the game of Lacrosse, and found a passion for working hard at improving as an Athlete. After my Freshman year I took my first trip up to Maryland to play and I was hooked.
What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
A.S. -Playing against Vero Beach my sophomore year. Our teams were both very good and we all knew each other in and outside of lacrosse. we lost in OT, but definitely the most exciting game I’ve ever played in.
How would you describe your style of play?
A.S. – I would say I’m very diverse. My ability to effortlessly go left or right makes me a bigger threat and harder to cover, and my ability to play at both ends of the field effectively.
What do you think is the strongest part of your game? What are you working to improve?
A.S. -The strongest part of my game I think is being able to play both sides of the field. I’ve played football my whole life, so playing defense in lacrosse is very similar. I really would like to work on improving my dodging from behind the net and get my hands free. Since I’m a midfielder, I don’t get much time back there.
What is important to you in selecting a college?
A.S. -Good academics, Programs of Study, Location, Size, and a school with a competitive lacrosse program.
What do you think you will study in college?
A.S. – I would like to be in the Insurance business one day, so I can see myself majoring in Business or Finance.
Which college team or players do you most enjoy watching?
A.S. – I enjoy watching Joe Locasio from Maryland, because I got to meet him last year and he was my Coach at Camp.
Who was your biggest lacrosse influence?
A.S. – Rob Greenfield has been my coach since I was in 8th grade and I have learned a lot about Lacrosse from him.
What is your lacrosse goal for 2016?
A.S. – To Continue to Improve as a Student-Athlete, and find an opportunity to play in College.
How would you describe your high school team?
A.S. – I would say we are a band of brothers! We only had 114 guys from 9-12 grades, but we competed for the full game with schools 10 times our size. I would say my high school teammates have more heart than any teams I have ever played on.
How would you like your teammates to describe you?
A.S. -As the go to guy when our team needed a lift.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
A.S. – Making the Under Armour Underclassman South Team.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
A.S. -I Spit in my Gloves.
What is the last thing you binge watched on Netflix?
