Florida Lacrosse News is profiling some of our state’s top uncommitted talent. Today we will feature Chris Britton, a Midfielder from Vero Beach High School.

What was your first lacrosse experience? And how long have you been playing?
Playing with my friends in New York in 7th grade, then I played on my first actual team 8th grade year. I’ve been playing for 5 years total.
What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
Beating St. Andrews this past season for the first time in our programs history.
What do you think is the strongest part of your game?
Being able to create offense, whether assisting on a goal or scoring one myself.
What is important to you in selecting a college?
Somewhere I would enjoy going even if I got injured and wasn’t able to play anymore.
What do you think you will study in college?
Pre Law.
Which college team or players do you most enjoy watching?
UNC or Syracuse.
What is your lacrosse goal for 2016?
A State Championship.
How would you describe your high school team?
Hard Working.
How would you like your teammates to describe you?
Energetic.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Making the Under Armour South team and also winning District 19 this past season.
Would you rather ride the bench on a great team OR start for a mediocre team?
Start for a mediocre team.
What is the last thing you binge watched on Netflix?
Nikita.
Vero Beach surprised a lot of people this season. They improved from 12-8 in 2014 to 15-3 in 2015 and came very close to upsetting Jupiter in the first round of the state playoffs. This year, a similar campaign won’t surprise anyone and Chris is a player that opposing teams will need to watch out for. You can see Chris’s highlight video below.
