On a cool Sunday morning at Henderson Field, on the campus of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, two Women Division I Club teams squared off.  The FAU Owls, (1 -2), and The University of Miami Hurricanes, (2 – 1), battled it out.  The game was one for the ages.  The Owls, lead by Midfielder Casey Bates, were up at half time to 7 to 4.  However, when the church bells rang out with FAU leading by 4 goals and in control, The Canes woke up.  As the teams traded goals and FAU still up.  The University of Miami took control with just under 4 minutes left in the game.  Midfielders Julie Piccione and Caroline O’Farrell combined for 5 of their teams final 6 goals.  Julie Piccione scored the tying goal for the Canes with 1:29 to go on a beautiful face dodge.  Jordan Frederico, 2 Goals and 2 Assists, won the draw for the Canes and Caroline O’Farrell, 3 Goals and 1 Assist, scored the winning goal with 29 seconds to go.  The Canes added an additional goal by Jordan Frederico as time ran out.
