Nease High School FOGO/Midfielder Ashton Wood announced on Tuesday, July 26th, that he has verbally committed to play Division I Lacrosse at Mercer University. This represents the hard work and commitment Wood has made on and off the field. The announcement culminates a string of accolades for the Rising Junior at Nease High School. Ash was selected as Second Team All St. John’s County for the 2016 HS season, selected to represent the South Region in the Under Armour Underclass Tournament, and finally, was named an All-Star at the Hotbeds Tournament at the University of Delaware. We are incredibly proud of Ash and really excited that he found the right fit for him and his family. Mercer is located in Macon, Georgia, a member of the Southern Conference, and led by Head Coach Kyle Hannan.
