On a cold night at Oviedo High School, Seminole defeated the Lions 17-5 in the opener for both teams. Seminole got off to a fast start in the first quarter led by senior Bennett Osterink’s 4 goals. Seminole continued to control the ball on offense for most of the first half pushing out to a 10-1 halftime lead. The second half featured more of the same as Oviedo’s comeback attempt could never get on track. Seminole got contributions from several players, including junior Ben Roth in goal and saw 7 different players score en route to the victory. Osterink’s 8 goals and 2 assists led the way and Payton Rivers chipped in 3 goals and 3 assists.
